In the heart of Tuscany, our Vermentino vines grow on sandy, marine-origin soils caressed by the Tyrrhenian breeze. The 2024 harvest yielded fresh, aromatic grapes, beautifully expressed in Annaluce Vermentino di Toscana IGT. On the nose, notes of yellow fruit and vanilla; on the palate, a balance of vibrant acidity, coastal salinity, and a refined finish.
TASTING NOTES
It is distinguished by its delicate colour, enriched by pale straw-yellow hues. The nose releases an intense and complex aroma, characterised by notes of yellow fruit and subtle, refined hints of vanilla. On the palate it reveals a perfect balance, harmoniously combining acidity and minerality for a fresh and persistent taste experience.
ORIGIN AND TYPE OF TERRAIN
The grapes come from sandy alluvial soils, ideal for giving the wine elegance and minerality. This type of soil enhances the wine’s freshness and aromatic complexity, while maintaining a natural balance between structure and finesse.
PAIRINGS
Ideal with finger food, starters and first courses of shellfish and crustaceans, as well as grilled fish dishes. For a touch of originality, it also goes well with creative ethnic fish dishes, offering versatility in cooking and an excellent match with exotic and spicy flavours.
WINEMAKING
Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in 300 litre French oak tonneaux, preserving the varietal character and developing complexity. The wine then rests on its fine lees with weekly batonnage to develop consistency and aromatic depth. Selected yeasts, including the rare 1895C™ strain, are used to enhance purity and aromatic finesse.
AGING
The wine continues to mature sur lies for four months in the same French oak tonneaux. This maturation phase further enhances structure and roundness, as contact with the yeasts adds volume and a soft mouthfeel. The subtle oak influence imparts refined vanilla notes, contributing to the overall elegance and aromatic finesse of the wine.
BOTTLING
Bottling takes place in February, completing a production process that is careful and respectful of the wine, with the aim of preserving its freshness and elegance over time.
