The olive grove

The green soul of Terre dei Ghelfi

Between the hills of Castagneto Carducci and the sea of Bolgheri, where the salty breeze gently caresses the land and the sun warms it all year long, stretches the olive grove of Terre dei Ghelfi: four hectares of centuries-old trees and young plants cultivated according to the principles of organic farming.
It is a place that reflects our idea of balance and respect, where every tree is part of a landscape that lives in perfect harmony with nature.

The olive grove lies at the foot of the village of Castagneto Carducci, on sandy-loamy soils of marine origin, ideal for giving elegance and aromatic complexity to the olives.
The influence of the sea, the mild climate, and the temperature variations encourage a slow and even ripening, enhancing the authentic character of our Organic Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil PGI – Bolgheri.

The varieties

The varieties that shape our identity

In our olive grove, more than 1,300 trees coexist, including 120 centuries-old specimens, belonging to the most prized Tuscan varieties: Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino, and Razzo, together with the local Gremignolo and Pendolino cultivars.

A mosaic of aromas and flavors that gives life to a balanced, fruity, and harmonious blend, capable of expressing the true essence of Bolgheri.

Innovation

The sustainable future of Terre dei Ghelfi

We manage our olive grove following certified organic practices, without the use of pesticides or herbicides, relying on technology to protect the soil and natural resources.

Thanks to the NetSense system, we monitor in real time the soil’s humidity, temperature, and water needs, optimizing irrigation and minimizing waste.
Every intervention is carefully calibrated to preserve the vitality of the trees and the purity of the environment.

This choice is not only aesthetic or productive, but a true commitment: crop diversification protects soil fertility, reduces the risk of disease, and strengthens the resilience of our ecosystem.

The product

The green gold of Tuscany

The harvest takes place between late October and early November, carried out exclusively by hand to preserve the integrity of the olives.
Within a few hours, the fruits are taken to the mill and cold-pressed, keeping their aromas, polyphenols, and freshness intact.

This is how our Organic Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil PGI – Bolgheri is born: a product that releases notes of freshly cut grass, artichoke, and almond, with a pleasant hint of spiciness that reflects the strength and character of our land.
